| With their kids getting older, Danae and Jon Bruning decided it was time to update their will. |
Danae and Jon Bruning know the healing power of CaringBridge well. "CaringBridge is a sacred space. It gives people so much hope. We used it to follow a dear friend on her health journey. She was so witty and courageous during her battle. Her attitude was so inspiring," Danae says.
"Now that our kids are getting older, we decided it was time to update our will," she says. "It was our lawyer who asked us, What would you like to do with your estate philanthropically?' For us, the answer was simple: We wanted to provide a lasting gift to CaringBridge."
While the Brunings do not know what the full value of their gift will be when the time comes, they want to be sure to save a percentage of their estate for an organization they believe in. "It feels good to have made these plans. We know CaringBridge is not only a sound nonprofit organization, but a trusted online space where people can pour their hearts out," Danae says.
Spreading love, hope and compassion are values the Bruning family wants to pass on to future generations. "CaringBridge brings out the best in people during the most difficult circumstances," Jon says. "In this social world, we know our eventual gift will ensure there is a trusted space where care and compassion is spread to families on a health journey."
