In 2000, the River Oaks Baptist School Legacy Society was established to recognize both those who have made provisions in their wills or estate plans to benefit R.O.B.S. and those who have made other types of planned gifts to the School. Types of planned gifts include bequests, gifts of life insurance benefits, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, gifts of real estate, charitable annuities, and other types of gifts to be realized in the future.
Consider making R.O.B.S. part of your family tradition.
You may want to consider naming River Oaks Baptist School as the beneficiary of an IRA, employee benefit plan, life insurance policy, or similar asset, the disposition of which is governed by a beneficiary designation. Typically the beneficiary designation form is provided by the employer or insurance company and must be properly completed and returned to the employer or insurance company. These types of assets are sometimes referred to as "non-probate" assets because their disposition is not automatically tied to the owner's will or similar testamentary document.
