Help a Loved One's Legacy Live On
Coping with the loss of a loved one can be difficult. You can find comfort, though, and help the person's legacy live forever by establishing a memorial gift in his or her honor. Before you make a memorial gift to celebrate a loved one's life, consider a few key factors:
- Purpose. Memorials honor the lives of friends or loved ones who have passed. You can make a gift to Mountain States Legal Foundation without any restrictions, or to support a particular event or program.
- Timing. Your gift may be given to us today or structured to first provide you with an income for your lifetime, followed by the memorial gift to us. You also can add a bequest to your will or trust that provides for a gift to us upon your passing.
- Type. Cash is a popular and easy asset to use when making a gift, but you can also use stocks, bonds and insurance policies.
- Amount. Whether you give $100 or $1 million, you can be certain your gift will make a lasting impact on our future and help us continue our important work. Plus, like all charitable donations, a memorial gift made now may reduce your income taxes.
