| Dr. Richard T. and Joyce Clark |
Dr. Richard T. Clark, Professor Emeritus in Agricultural Economics UNL, earned advanced degrees from the University of Wyoming and Oregon State University. Joyce Clark, a homemaker, has a BS degree in secondary education from the University of Wyoming. She has been an active volunteer wherever the family has lived, most notably in leadership roles with the North Platte Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, an internationally recognized organization that supports parents who experience the loss of a child under any circumstances. Both Dick and Joyce currently volunteer at and through their church in community programs. The Clarks have set up an endowed scholarship in memory of their son, Kerry, a certified Paramedic and UNMC nursing student with a big heart for helping others. The Clarks other son, Randy is a sergeant with the Lincoln Police Dept., their daughter-in-law, Mendy is a RN who works for Nebraska DHHS. Both sons, daughter-in-law and their 3 grandchildren thrived while attending Lincoln Public Schools. Giving an estate gift to enlarge their endowed scholarship for the benefit of future LPS students has been a satisfying way to recognize their family and extend appreciation for the fine education they received in Lincoln Public Schools.
