Our alumni and friends inspire us with their generosity and willingness to help. One group is especially praiseworthy as these individuals have taken the extra step to remember Central Missouri through planned gifts, such as bequests, gift annuities, life insurance and other future financial commitments. In fact, some of the university's largest gifts have come through just such methods.
The Heritage Society was established to recognize and honor the important commitments of alumni and friends who have made planned gifts. Membership belongs to people who have made a deferred gift to UCM through one or more of the following methods:
- provision in their will or revocable trust,
- life income gift (charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust),
- retirement plan beneficiary designation,
- life insurance policy beneficiary designation, or
- life estate gift (remainder interest in real property).
The UCM Foundation, Central Missouri, students, faculty and staff have all benefited from estate gifts. The people who have made such provisions share a common bond of generosity and visionary leadership, nourishing the university's continued success and helping us make a stronger future possible.
