Order of the Good Samaritan

The Order of the Good Samaritan was established in 1989 to recognize the Frederick Memorial Hospital's most generous benefactors. These compassionate individuals united by the honorary distinction share a profound commitment to FMH and to its tradition of quality in healthcare services.

Invitations to join the Order of the Good Samaritan are extended to those individuals who accept the challenge to support and maintain Frederick Memorial Hospital through a pledge of $10,000 or more over a 10-year period.

In 1994, the Special gifts Committee of the FMH Development Council established additional giving levels within the Order of the Good Samaritan, these levels include:

The President's Circle—$100,000
Benefactor—$75,000
Patron—$50,000
Fellow—$25,000
Member—$10,000

The Order of the Good Samaritan hosts two events a year for its members – the Good Samaritan of the Year Award event and the fall education event. In the spirit of the Good Samaritan, the Good Samaritan of the Year Award recognizes deserving individuals for their participation and selfless commitment to improving the quality of life in Frederick County. For more information, visit our Good Samaritan of the Year Award page. The fall education event features a speaker focused on a current health concern for our community.
