Madison Legacy Society

Many alumni and friends say they would like to make a significant contribution to the university, but feel they lack the resources to do so. But almost everyone has the means to make a difference through an often overlooked and misunderstood way—gift planning.

We can show you how to make a current or testamentary gift while also providing for family members and other charitable interests. Our professionals can provide you with gift planning options and a host of resources for you, your family, and your financial and estate advisors. It's easy to name WCU in your last will and testament, trust, or as a beneficiary of your IRA, securities accounts, life insurance, or other investment assets such as your home, business, or vacation properties. If you're considering doing so, please consider the following two requests: 1) please name  Western Carolina University Foundation as the beneficiary (WCU  Foundation exists solely for the purposes of soliciting, accepting, receipting, acknowledging, and disbursing contributions to Western Carolina University-related purposes); 2) as a courtesy to WCU, please notify us of your thoughtfulness and generosity as we would like to sincerely thank you, record your gift intention, and welcome you into the Madison Legacy Society.

To make certain your intent is well understood, please contact:
